What can we say that hasn’t already been said?
We visited Le Camp for the first time this August, as a family of five (with children aged 14, 10 and nearly 5) staying for nine nights. We enjoyed every moment of it, and upon reflection were pleasantly surprised at how willingly we embraced the social aspect of the setting.
The owners of Le Camp are wonderful. We met lovely fellow glampers Our safari tent, Meru, was wonderfully spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area is well equipped. And the natural pool is heavenly.
The children (and their parents!) relaxed and seemed to benefit from a gadget-detox and spending uninterrupted time together as a family.
There is much to see and do in the surrounding area, and the foodie markets in Saint Antonin and Najac are a must-visit. I even took my bike and snuck out for a few cheeky rides/climbs, to Vaoux and Najac.
Highly recommended. We will return.
The safari tents were beautifully decorated and well appointed.
I don’t even know where to start on the pool, it is tranquil and relaxing but has an aspect of adventure. As you swim nature thrives around you and there is no feeling better than to dive into the crisp water on a hot day. Nigel and Claire treated all the guests like family, suggesting nearby markets and activities. We are already booked for next year!
Oh for another two weeks (or
months…) in this unique environment.
My expectations were high but entirely exceeded. The environment is perfectly balanced – privacy plus the opportunity to be sociable in an unforced way; wilderness and a whole lot of comfort; warmly minded by Claire, Nigel and Seya but without intrusion. The surrounding area has a huge amount of charm and a great selection of activities and places to visit, but no crowds to blunt the experience of discovery. Odd thing to say, but all of us, adults and children, left feeling entirely relaxed and like we had learned a lot. It is of absolutely no surprise that return visits are the norm.
Me my wife and our daughter had an excellent and relaxing time here in early September.
Claire and Nigel were so accommodating and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The setting is perfect for kids and families with so much to do. Friendly animals. Love the goats! Kitchen is extremely well appointed. Look forward to coming back with friends one day.
Great place for relaxed family retreat.
Claire and Nigel are wonderful people who really made our stay pleasurable. Clean kitchen, bathrooms and tents. Pool well maintained, clean and lovely change from standard swimming pools. Simple, low key, friendly, small, respectful environment to spent two weeks with our 2,6 and 8 year old boys.
I organised a hen for 20 people to visit Le Camp and I was blown away by how helpful Claire and Nigel were.
They went above and beyond to make the experience as easy and as smooth as possible for us so that we could just arrive and enjoy ourselves. They even went shopping for us before and had everything waiting for us in the fridge when we arrived, which included local produce and local wines and beers. (Delicious!).
The camp itself is so beautiful and idyllic. The natural pool was so lovely to swim in every morning and was it lovely to see and hear all the frogs too! The Safari Tents were comfortable, clean and cosy and the views were incredible too. A highlight for me was showering in the the outside shower whilst looking out at the picturesque view and listening to the cuckoo call. They also helped us organise a kayaking trip down the River which was amazing fun and beautiful scenes.
I would reccommend this place for families, couples, hen weekends and anyone that enjoys the beautiful simple things in life. 10/10 in every single area. Thank you Claire and Nigel for everything you did to help us have the most amazing weekend ever!! We are definitely coming back!
I don’t know where to start! Our hen weekend at Le Camp was just perfect.
Claire, Nigel and Seiya went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible time. The pool area is pure bliss and perfect for sipping rose in the sun and playing games! The communal kitchen and outdoor (covered!) lounge area is also very well designed and made cooking for 23 very easy, as well as allowing for great long-table brunches and dinners. We also really enjoyed dancing around the fire in the evenings! The tents are amazing, really comfortable beds and great communal balconies for an aperitif. They are so beautifully set up by Seiya that you feel like you’re in a luxury outdoor apartment. And the shower at Mount Kenya tent is next level. Can’t thank Le Camp enough really for helping to organise such an amazing weekend!
We had wine tasting with Luci from local company Tasting the Lot when we arrived on the Friday which was so much fun, delicious and informative! It was also accompanied by local dishes to complement the wine. We also had Suz and Sara from Amulet Therapy & Massages Sarah Olley come and do massages on the Sunday which some said was the best massage they’d ever had! Claire organised all of our food shopping for us so everything was there when we arrived which was so helpful and also sorted out our wine from a local vineyard – highly recommend the rose!! 100% recommend Le Camp for an exclusive hire for celebrations but can equally imagine it’s wonderful for families and children! We all can’t wait to come back!
